Evan Riley - Bass Guitar EDawg@redhothorndawgs.com
Evan took over on bass for the Horn Dawgs in 2009. His skill and versatility on all kinds of stringed instruments enable him to be the foundation of our rock solid rhythm section. We feel we are just beginning to tap into the wealth of musicianship he brings to the table.
He started playing guitar at 14. Eight years later he left Ithaca College in New York with a degree in music education and guitar performance. He currently teaches choir and general music in the Janesville school system, and offers private guitar lessons after school hours. He also stays busy as half of a duet called Beckons, and performing solo as a singer/songwriter.
Like other members of the band, Evan has many varied interests in music. Beckons, for example, exhibits a a taste in traditional folk music. But there is no hesitation when you ask him who his favorite group is: Pearl Jam!
Evan lives in Edgerton with his wonderful wife Becky (a cello player and the other half of Beckons,) beautiful 2 year old Keira and another coming soon. He loves to cook, which will serve him well as the family gets bigger! He also loves to travel, and is a huge fan of the Syracuse Orangemen.
